More details: The theme for this service project is “Tell your story.” The literacy fair is for the younger students who will each leave with a book to take home at the end of the day. During the literacy fair, there will be a book closet and book mark making. Our goal is to match every student who comes with an older adult who will be their reading buddie. The student will be able to select a book from the book closet and then read it with their reading buddie.
There will also be four separate workshops for high school students. We need volunteers to help lead these workshops.
1) Write your own “I Have a Dream” speech
2) Theater workshop
3) Arts/Media workshop
4) Oral story telling
