Chicago Area Peace Corps Association (CAPCA) and H.O.M.E. (Housing Opportunities and Maitenance for the Elderly) are joining to winterize low-income senior homes on the South Side–.
on Chicago’s South Side with HOME.
When: Saturday, Dec 8, (9 AM to 3PM) We meet at 9am for a training then reconvene between 2-3 to collect leftover materials and debrief.
Where: Hyde Park Neighborhood Club, 5480 S Kenwood, Room E. There will be a receptionist at the front desk to direct CAPCA people to the activity.
As the weather starts to turn cold and winter approaches many seniors
who live in older homes with little or no insulation and old windows
start to worry about how to keep their heating costs down but also
stay warm. Help us help them!
