The Chicago Peace Corps Association is a non-profit organization of Returned Peace Corps volunteers in the Chicago area and NW Indiana. CAPCA raises money to support volunteers doing projects in their communities abroad. Each year, we aim to give thousands to PCVs with Chicago ties to do things such as solar panels at a rural Malawi high school, business development in the Dominican Republican or water irrigation in Senegal.
CAPCA also works to bring the local RPCV community together with monthly social events at ethnic restaurants, community volunteer projects, professional networking, mentoring, Third Goal activities, guest speaking and promotion of global awareness.
Organized in 1979, CAPCA is affiliated with the National Peace Corps Association.
