Thanks to all who joined us for our recent dinner events – it was great to see so many of our CAPCA members and friends! We met at Paladar for Cuban food and stories in August, and at Lazo’s Restaurant for Mexican fare in September. Each event hosted over 30 people.

RPCV’s gathered with friends for Trivia Night in June at the Black Rock Bar.  The event tested their knowledge about Peace Corps history, geography and beer. The winning team members won bags full of Peace Corps memorabilia.

PC Advocacy Letters

CAPCA members, RPCV’s and Peace Corps supporters prepared 30 letters which were mailed to Illinois Senator Mark Kirk, requesting his support of President Obama’s $410 million dollar budget for the Peace Corps.

Successful 26th Camp Vista Get-Away

The 26th annual Camp Vista winter get-away from Jan 16-19 was attended by 69 adults and children and organized by Chicago Area RPCVs. The snow was low but the spirits were high!
