Every year, Peace Corps Week provides us with an opportunity to promote the ideals of Peace Corps. PC Week 2016 runs from Monday, February 29th to Saturday, March 5th and CAPCA has you covered with events every day for RPCVs, FPCVs, and friends of Peace Corps!

#CAPCA also wants you to show off your Peace Corps spirit on social media via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the #pcweek2016 and #capca hashtags.

Monday, February 29th

Leap For Peace Corps: Meet in iconic Federal Plaza at the “Flamingo” at 5 P.M. to “leap for Peace Corps” on leap day!
Social Media: Post one thing you learned in Peace Corps and be sure to use the hashtags listed above.

Tuesday, March 1st

Board Game Night: Head to the Peace Corps Office at 55 W. Monroe Ave. and test your board game skills! The games begin at 5:00 P.M.
Dinner at Rickshaw Republic: Join us for our monthly dinner at Rickshaw Republic at 2112 N. Lincoln Ave. NOTE: You must RSVP by February 25th.
Social Media: Wear your SWAG and post a pic!

Wednesday, March 2nd

Happy Hour: You’ve worked hard to get here and it’s time to relax with people whose eyes won’t glaze over when you discuss the importance of sanitation projects in Cameroon. Join us for Happy Hour at 5:30 P.M. Located TBD.
Social Media: Post about what inspired/inspires you to serve!

Thursday, March 3rd

Trivia Night: So you think you’re worldly? Test your knowledge at The Green Lady at 3328 N. Lincoln Ave. Things kick off at 8:00 P.M.
HOMES Service ProjectThere’s nothing we do better than work for free, so join us at the Nathalie Salmon House to serve dinner for senior citizens.
RPCV Presentation: Want to learn more about NCE? Maybe you just want to find out what life is like after Peace Corps. Head to 77 W. Jackson Blvd. (The Metcalfe Federal Building) to hear RPCVs now working for the Federal Government share their stories. The presentations begin at 12:00 P.M. in room 2513.

Friday, March 4th

HOMES Service ProjectCouldn’t make the last one? Or did you have such a good time you’re in for round two? Either way this time we’re meeting at the Pat Crowley House.
Social Media: Fund a Peace Corps Partnership Project (PCPP) in any country or sector and post about it.

Saturday, March 5th

World Map Project: Details TBD.
Social Media: Post about what happiness looks like in your country of service!
