Friends of the Republique Islamique de Mauritanie Friends of the Republique Islamique de Mauritanie (FORIM) was founded in January, 1996. FORIM is a not-for-profit, apolitical organization, whose members share the common bond of Mauritania. FORIM is an inclusive organization whose purpose is social, education, and developmental.

University Peace Corps Sites

Peace Corps Fellows Program
The Fellows/USA program is for returned Volunteers who wish to pursue master's degrees for reduced cost after their Peace Corps service. They combine course work with working in underserved U.S. communities where they not only help others but gain valuable on-the-job experience and contacts in their field.

Peace Corps Master's International Program
In cooperation with participating universities, Master's International allows students an opportunity to combine Peace Corps service with graduate studies. This collaborative effort provides host countries with highly skilled Volunteers, while encouraging cross-cultural exchange on behalf of Volunteers, the communities in which they serve, and participating universities.

Miscellaneous Peace Corps Sites

The Corcoran High School Peace Corps Partnership site describes an inspiring program run by the International Relations club as a Syracus High School, in conjunction with Roberts Elementary School. The group has raised over $65,000 for small-scale development projects in Africa, Asia, and Latin America for 14 years.
Global Volunteers This group organizes Peace Corps-like vacations to a variety of countries. Participants do development work for two weeks to a month.
