CAPCA is a network of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who work to promote culturally understanding and exchange. CAPCA holds monthly dinners at local ethnic restaurants, provide speakers to organizations interested in the Peace Corps and international issues and coordinates a variety of community service projects that give RPCVs an opportunity to continue their volunteerism with groups such as H.O.M.E., Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago Public Schools, Friends of the Chicago River and Chicago Cares.

In addition, CAPCA raises money to support projects by Peace Corps volunteers serving in 76 countries throughout the world – from Malawi to the Philippines to Albania. Projects are generally funded through the Peace Corps Partnership Projects program and recently have included a water irrigation project in Senegal and solar panels in Malawi. (We are always looking for projects so please contact us if you know of a good project!)
