The Chicago Area Peace Corps Association(CAPCA) is providing two $1,000 Scholarships for Chicago area High School Seniors, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers  (RPCVs) applying for Graduate School.

 WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

            The CAPCA  Scholarship is open to all active CAPCA Members, their high school age children and RPCVs who are:

• Residents of Cook County IL 

• Planning to attend an accredited college for the 2023-2024 School Year. 

*There are no requirements regarding financial needs, minimum grade point averages, or class rank. 

REQUIREMENTS

•  Write an Essay on your past or current volunteer experiences and the importance of service. 

• Those who are awarded a scholarship will be invited to read their essay during the CAPCA Annual Fundraiser in October 2023.

            September 30, 2023

 HOW CAN I QUALIFY?

            High School Seniors with active parent members applying for college or RPCVs applying for Graduate study must write an essay discussing their past or present volunteer experience and the importance of service.

HOW ARE RECIPIENTS CHOSEN?

            The submitted essays will be reviewed by the CAPCA Board Members and the recipients of the CAPCA Scholarships will be announced by October 2023.
