What We Do

CAPCA What We Do

The Chicago Area Peace Corps Association (CAPCA) is a non-profit organization of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers in the Chicago area and in northwest Indiana. CAPCA brings returned Peace Corps Volunteers together to share their experiences and continue to work for world peace, understanding, and well-being in the Chicagoland area through community service and education. CAPCA members can participate through monthly social events, community volunteer projects, professional networking and mentoring, and Third Goal activities that promote global awareness. CAPCA supports current volunteers working on valuable community projects. Organized in 1979, CAPCA is affiliated with the National Peace Corps Association.

CAPCA’s mission is to support our local, global and RPCV communities. We continue to volunteer and promote community service, education, cross cultural understanding, and world peace.
